NCW Alliance Academy

Seeking to strengthen the first-string team, the NCW Alliance FC have announced plans to start NCW Alliance Academy, a months-long program of training sessions for players ages 15-19 years old.

The academy will serve a variety of roles. During the regular season of NCW Alliance, the academy will act as the reserve team for the first-string squad, Jamie Richards said.

They will be two completely separate teams, with their own tryouts and players. The girls who become standouts at the academy will be promoted to the first-team games.  The academy team will play friendly games during the season, against other academy teams in the area.

After the NCW Alliance season is over, the academy players will return to their high school teams for the fall season. After their high school season concludes, they will return to the academy to continue training and play in at least two College showcase tournaments representing Alliance.

Tryouts for the Academy will occur at the Apple Bowl April 5, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. under the guidance of Mike Osborn and Jamie Richards, academy directors. All players of high school age are eligible to participate.

“Anybody who wants to come and make the commitment to come to Wenatchee for practice is welcome,”  “Basically what we are targeting are the players in North Central Washington, Jamie Richards said.
